STOVE & OVEN PROBLEMS

WILL NOT TURN ON

When an electric stove doesn’t ignite, first ensure the stove is plugged in and all circuit breakers are switched on. You will want to check the pilot light for gas stoves. If the appliance is plugged in and the pilot light is burning in the oven, that means another part will need to be fixed. The reason for the issue might be the infinite switch, surface element, oven burner igniter or bake and broil element.

OVEN WILL NOT HEAT

A burner or stove or oven that doesn’t heat doesn’t do much good. Your oven does not heat if there is a broken oven sensor or bake element. A burner does not turn on when an element is broken or if the burner switch or terminal block don’t work. OVEN TEMPERATURE IS TOO HOT

You need a hot oven. Just not too hot! If the heat is out of control, it might be due to a problem with the thermostat or sensor. Our technicians know how to find the reason for the issue and then repair it. Always be careful if troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the high and totally unpredictable heat.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is that an igniter will glow but will not light. The reason this occurs is sometimes from either a broken surface igniter, safety valve, electronic control or temperature sensor. We are able to determine if we can repair these appliance parts or if we need to replace the part.

DOOR WON’T OPEN

Modern self-cleaning models of ovens can experience door issues. The door will not open after the oven cleans itself. We monitor the door closure, thermostat and seal to identify why the door does not open up and then complete the repair in order to resolve the problem.
